8. Check O-ring (17) between outer multiple-disc carrier (1) and plunger guide ring (18) for leaks by filling plunger guide ring with a little kerosene

or benzine. In the event of leaks, press out snap ring (16), remove plunger guide ring and replace sealing ring (17).

Measuring

9. Determine clearance "A" using a feeler gauge.  Adjust clearance "A" using the snap ring (11) available in three thicknesses (2.0, 2.5, 3.0 mm). For

this reason, the groove for the snap ring is machined 3.2 mm wide. Only if the prescribed clearance "A" is not achieved using the snap ring (11)
must the middle outside discs be used for correction. Adjust the clearance to 0.7 - 1.3 mm.
