Assemble disc sat according to transmission model and place new discs in automatic transmission fluid for arprox. 1 hour before installing. Place the
Belleville spring washers with the curved side on the piston.

3. 

Fit assembly device (020) onto the spring plate (4) and tension until the snap ring (5) is exposed. Remove snap ring (5).

4. 

Relieve tension on assembly device 126 589 00 43 00 and remove.

Installation Note
After inserting snap ring, check to make sure it is properly seated.

5. 

Remove spring plate (4) and pressure springs (3).

Installation Note
Pay attention to the number of pressure springs and ensure that each spring is centered by a guiding pin on the spring plate.

6. 

Pull piston (2) out of the externally-toothed disc carrier (1).

Installation Note
Examine lip seals (12,13) for signs of wear and damage; replace if necessary.
