Paint over wheel arch in area (A Figure 1).

10.

Remove first adhesive tape from wheel arch and carefully detach adhesive tape from visible area (B).

11.

Carefully detach second adhesive tape from visible area (B Figure 1)

12.

Apply cavity preservation. For preservation agents see EPC-net.

13.

Install all removed assembly parts again.

Remedy 2: A and B Corrosion

1.

Remove corrosion on rear fender (1 Figure 1) in area (A and B) (repair stage 2). The preparation time is not related to the damaged part and may
be billed once only per repair order.

2.

Remove bulkhead on rear fender (1 Figure 1).

3.

Remove trim strip on entrance longitudinal member, model 210 up to 5. 31.99.

4.

Release cover on entrance longitudinal member, model 210 as of 6.1.99.

Remove rear bumper, model 210.2 AR88.20-P-2200EB, model 210 up to 31.5.99 AR88.20-P-2200F, and model 210.2 as of 1.6.99
AR88.20-P-2200FB.

6.

Remove rear light unit, model 210 up to 5. 31.99 AR82.10-P-4730EB, model 210.0/2 as of 6.1.99 AR82.10-P-4730F.

7.

Remove decorative roof strip. Only on model 210.0

8.

Remove trim frame on rear window. Only model 210.0.

9.

Remove trim frame on side window. Only model 210.2.

10.

Apply primer filler. Use EP/thermo filler. Observe manufacturer's data for curing and processing time of EP/thermo filler. For EP/thermo filler see
table.

11.

Apply to wheel arch in area (A Figure 1) seam seal (sprayable) or underfloor protection (paintable). Seam seal (sprayable) or underfloor protection
(paintable), refer to EPC-net. No residue from cleaning agent must be left over, as otherwise material adhesion cannot then be guaranteed. Observe
manufacturer's data for curing and sealant processing time.

12.

Paint rear fender (1): Refer to WIS references.

13.

Apply cavity preservation. For preservation agents see EPC-net.

14.

Install all removed assembly parts again.

Remedy 3: For Corrosion or Rust-Through Damage in Area A and B: Refer to Document SM63.50-P-1000A.

For corrosion or rust-through damage in area A and B, the repair panel is to be made to match the damage profile, and installed as a subsection.
Limit repair scope to size of damage.

Remedy 4: For a Strong Degree of Corrosion or Rust-Through Damage in Area A and B, Refer to Document SM63.50-P-1000A.
