Example
Four possible messages are illustrated below, together with a brief description.
When there are several faults the sequence of the messages displayed is explained by means of an example.
-
The windshield washer fluid level has dropped below the minimum mark. The message "CHECK WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID LEVEL"
(figure 1) is displayed in the multifunction display.
-
If another fault now occurs in the generator (G2), the message "BATTERY/GENERATOR CHECK - FIND A WORKSHOP" (figure 2) is
displayed. This message fades out the first message on account of its higher priority.
-
If the coolant level now drops below the minimum mark, the message "CHECK COOLANT/LEVEL" (figure 3) is overlaid for the duration of the
minimum display time.
After this the message "BATTERY/GENERATOR CHECK - FIND A WORKSHOP" (figure 2) is displayed again.
If no other fault occurs, the messages alternate every 3 seconds.
In the example it was assumed that no message had been acknowledged.
-

This message is displayed if the washer fluid for the windshield washer system and headlamp cleaning system drops below the minimum level.
-
Message: BATTERY/GENERATOR CHECK - FIND A WORKSHOP"
This message is displayed if the generator (G2) is not working properly but the engine speed is more than 200 rpm.
