A.

Inspection of curtain (window) airbag fastening clamps (right and left curtain [window] airbags)

1.

Remove ignition key.

2.

Remove both C-pillar panels (refer to WIS, AR68.30-P-4490).

3.

Inspect the fastening clamp (arrow, Figure 1) between the gas generator and window airbag:

Check the clamp for looseness, if the clamp can be manually rotated (by hand, without using excessive force) the curtain (window) airbag unit
must be replaced.

B.

Replacement of curtain (window) airbag(s)

1.

Remove headliner (refer to WIS AR68.30-P-4300).

2.

Replace curtain (window) airbag (refer to WIS, AR91.60-P-0693).

3.

Install components in reverse order of disassembly.

4.

Erase any DTC's that may have been set using the HHT.

Important Parts Notes:

If a curtain (window) airbag requires replacement following the inspection, the airbag will need to be ordered from the facing PDC. The curtain
(window) airbag will be delivered within 48 hours of the order being placed. In that case, the client will be provided with alternate transportation if
desired.
