Special Tools
Steering Lock (w/ DAS), Replacement
NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.
REMOVAL
1. Remove cover below instrument panel.
2. Using escutcheon wrench (20) tool No. 210 589 00 07 00, or equivalent, unscrew escutcheon (36a) from instrument panel.
3. Press coil for stage 2a Drive Authorization System (DAS 2a) transponder out of lock cylinder.
4. Disconnect connector (S2/1x1) in lock cylinder position "1".
5. Remove wire cable (37a) for parking lock on the protective sleeve.
