Ignition Coil: Service and Repair
Remove/Install Ignition Coils

ignition system
1.1 Unclip cover at face end of engine
2.1 Remove engine trim panel or air cleaner
NOTE: Detach engine cover or air cleaner by lifting vertically up and off the cylinder head covers
2.2 Remove air cleaner housing

Unscrew bolt (5/3)
Bolt for Ignition Coil on Cylinder head cover - 8 N.m

Remove the spark plug connector (5/1) from the spark plugs
NOTE:

Pry off spark plug connector (5/1) using open-end wrench, double over the cylinder head cover of the spark plugs

Installation: Observe identification of connector (arrow) on the cylinder head cover and the ignition coil cylinder (T1/1 up to T1/8) or (T1/1 up
to T1/6) for corresponding spark plug connector (5/1)

Disconnect electrical connector of ignition coil cylinder (T1/1 up to T1/6) or (T1/1 up to T1/8)

Remove ignition coil cylinder (T1/1 up to T1/6) or (T1/1 up to T1/8)

Install in the reverse order
