Noises in the automatic belt retractor when the belt is rolling up are normal as a result of the design. In the event of complaints, exceptionally loud
noises can be eliminated only by replacing the seat belt with emergency tensioning retractor.

CAUTION: Never attempt to eliminate noises by oiling or greasing. Opening automatic belt retractors invalidates the warranty.

If the seat belt is replaced together with the emergency tensioning retractor, the defective components must be disposed of properly.

Render airbags, side airbags and emergency tensioning retractors unusable before disposal. Follow important detonation and disposal instructions.  

10. Reinstall in opposite order. Observe installation notes.
11. Perform diagnosis of system. See: Testing and Inspection/Scan Tool Testing and Procedures
