Correct Dust Cap Position on Steering Gear Upon Delivery
This information is valid for steering gears delivered as replacement parts before August 15, 2008. Part number A 210 460 43 00 80 must be
checked before installing. See Figure 1.

Position of Dust Cap at Delivery is Incorrect Steering assembly is delivered with the dust cap fitted incorrectly.
1.
If the dust cap marker points as shown in Figure 1 (A), remove the dust cap and reattach it to align with the steer jacket in Figure 1 (B).
2.
Do not turn the dust cap. Pull it off and then reattach it.
