Installation: Install new retaining bolts for fixed caliper or floating caliper.

Unscrew locking bolt (63) and remove brake disk (61)
CAUTION: If the parking brake drums are run in turn back parking brake adjuster. Otherwise the parking brake shoes will be
damaged, refer to, adjusting parking brake
NOTE: Installation: Always replace brake disks (61) in pairs. Lightly grease seat of brake disk (61) with MB long-term grease. Replace locking
bolt (63).
Inspect

Check lining thickness and condition of parking brake shoes

After removing the rear axle brake disks (61), if necessary, install new parking brake shoes.

Install in the reverse order
Inspect

Check version of pedal assembly

Only if removing brake disks (61) on the rear axle.

Adjusting parking brake

Only if removing brake disks (61) on the rear axle.

Activate SBC brake system using STAR DIAGNOSIS.

Use STAR DIAGNOSIS to move brake pads toward brake disks

Inspect fluid level in expansion reservoir, adjust to correct level if necessary.

Component Identification
The holes in the perforated brake disks (61) can clog up due to brake dust and dirt. If this is the case, the perforation must be cleaned.

Remove brake dust and dirt from the holes in the brake disk (61) using a suitable drift.
If it is not possible to remove the brake dust or dirt by means of the drift, use cordless drill/driver and 4.3 mm dia drill bit. In the process no chips
may be lifted up from the brake disks (61), the holes in the brake disks (61) must not be enlarged under any circumstances.
