Turbo Boost Sensor: Description and Operation
GF07.04-P-6051P Component Description For The Boost Pressure Sensor
Location
The boost pressure sensor is located at the right front on the engine downstream of the throttle valve actuator (M16/6).
Task
The boost pressure sensor detects the boost pressure (absolute pressure) downstream of the throttle valve actuator and sends this information to the CDI
control unit (N3/9).
Function
The charge air pressure distorts a membrane with piezoelements. The resultant voltage is used by the CDI control unit to determine the charge air
pressure.
