When moving components, ensure that no body parts or limbs are within the operating range of moving parts.

Open panoramic roof

Place suitable flat material on left and right below the wind deflector (5), until it is as high as the water deflector (4)

NOTE:  Use identical material thickness of 0.5 up to 2.5 mm on left and right.

Fix wind deflector (5) with adhesive strips laterally to the water deflector (4)

NOTE:  As a result the front glass roof (1) can be better aligned.

Remove rubber bellows of front glass roof (1) at panoramic roof on left and right side of vehicle

Loosen cover (7) at front glass roof (1) on left and right side of vehicle (arrow)

Release catch lug (9) of cover (7) from the passenger compartment on left and right side of vehicle

Push out cover (7) toward bottom on left and right side of vehicle

Slacken bolts (10) of outer support (8) on left and right side of vehicle

Slacken bolts (11) and bolts (12) from front glass roof (1) on left and right side of vehicle

Close panoramic roof

Move front glass roof (1) toward rear up to the seal (6) on the rear glass roof (2)

Align front glass roof (1) in relation to rear glass roof (2) 

NOTE:  Gap dimension height adjustment of front glass roof (1) to rear glass roof (2)

See " Test and adjustment values of Panoramic roof " given below.

Tighten bolts (11) on left and right side of vehicle

NOTE:  Bolts (11) are later tightened with torque

Align front glass roof (1) in relation to wind deflector (5)

NOTE:  Gap dimension height adjustment of wind deflector (5) to front glass roof (1)

Tighten bolts (12) on left and right side of vehicle

NOTE:  Bolts (12) are later tightened with torque

Remove adhesive strip at wind deflector (5)

Open panoramic roof

Remove flat material below wind deflector (5) on left and right side of vehicle

Move panoramic roof to tilt position

Tighten bolts (11, 12).
-

Bolt of front glass roof to bracket: 5 N.m

Press outer support (8) upward, simultaneously press front glass roof (1) down and tighten bolts (10)

NOTE:  The front glass roof (1) must only have a minimum play.

Bolt of outer support to front glass roof: 5 N.m

Open panoramic roof and close again

NOTE:  Pay attention to noises of the panoramic roof mechanics.

Check height adjustment and gap dimension

NOTE:  If necessary repeat adjustments.

Move panoramic roof to tilt position

Insert cover (7) from below and clip on
