"Brake Malfunction SBC Visit Workshop" Displayed Within the Instrument Cluster's Multifunction Display
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the following red warning message displayed within the instrument cluster's multifunction
display Brake Malfunction SBC Visit Workshop" and stored diagnostic fault code C2101 [Control Unit A7/3n1 (Sensotronic Brake Control) internal
fault], replace the SBC control unit to resolve. Reference the following WIS document AR42.46-P-0010R.
Note:
If the diagnostic fault code C2101 occurs without a red warning message in the instrument cluster, then the fault code can be ignored and erased.
This erroneous fault is the result of a diagnostic communication issue with STAR Diagnosis and the SBC control unit.

Please reference the following parts ordering information below in order to determine the correct part number.

If the installed SBC unit is marked A004 431 43 12, A004 431 98 12, A004 431 42 12, or A004 431 97 12, then install A005 431 68 12 05. Note
: A005 431 7112 may be delivered instead and may be used.

If the installed SBC unit is marked A004 431 70 12, A005 431 00 12, A005 431 06 12, A004 431 69 12, A004 431 99 12, or A004 431 05 12,
then install A005 431 34 12 05.
