GF42.45-P-4500-04S ESP control unit, task Model 211, 230, 240

The ESP, SPS [PML] and BAS control unit (N47-5) (model 230, 240) or ESP control unit (N47-5) (model 211) have all brake control functions from
the ABS, BAS, ASR, DTR and ESP carried out by the SBC control unit (A7/3n1), on model 240 by the SBC control units (A7/3n1, A7/4n1) via a
separate CAN.

With ASR and ESP data is exchanged with the control units of the engine and transmission control via a CAN data line.

Influencing the engine/transmission management in the event of an ESP control.

The ESP, SPS [PML] and BAS control unit (N47-5) also contains the necessary electronics and control logic of the speed-sensitive power steering
(SPS [PML]).

Supplies other systems with the vehicle speed signal.

Supplies the instrument cluster (A1) with the signals for the multifunction displays (A1p13, A1p15) via the CAN.

Supplies the instrument cluster (A1) with the signals for the ABS indicator lamp (A1e17) and the ESP and ABS warning lamp (A1e41) via the CAN.

Passes on the brake lights signal to the rear SAM control unit for actuating the brake lights further or suppresses this when ESP control is active.
