Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC) Unit and Hydraulic Line Stop Plugs
For information only, in the above model vehicles, stop plugs must always be utilized during the replacement or removal/installation of the SBC
hydraulic unit (A713). (Reference WIS documents AR42.46-P-0010R, AH42.10-P-0002-01T and AR42.10-P-0012R)
Warning!
Seal all hydraulic lines and connections on the SBC hydraulic unit immediately with stop plugs in order to prevent air ingress into the brake lines. Air
in the brake lines reduces brake performance and can lead to malfunctions of the SBC system.
Warning!
Even the smallest particles of dirt, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions of the SBC system.
Warning!
If the brake system has been opened, then the brakes must be bled using STAR Diagnosis Bleed Brake System" function before the brake system is
activated again. This must be done regardless of what other operations were performed on the brake system.
