High Pressure Fuel Pump Leaks in Area of Low Pressure Connections

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of leaks in the area of the low pressure connections, the click clamps, fuel feed and
fuel return hoses may need to be replaced per the below procedure. DO NOT replace the high pressure pump.

1.

Check coolant hoses and poly V-belt for fuel contamination.

2.

If fuel contacted coolant hoses and/or poly V-belt from the leak, replace coolant hoses and/or poly V-belts.

3.

Clean high pressure pump and spray with MB contrast spray.

4.

If a leak is determined in the area of the low pressure connections: Replace click clamps and fuel hoses from feed and return of low pressure
connections (Figure 1, 1).

Note:

It is not permitted to use screw clamps due to lack of tension reserves.
