Auxiliary Cabin Heater Control Valve: Service and Repair

AR83.70-P-6000T Remove/Install Coolant Circuit Solenoid Valve

- with CODE (228) Stationary heater or retrofitted staionary heater

Disconnect ground cable of battery

Remove front section of fender liner in front fender

NOTE:  Front piece on right.

Disconnect plug and socket connection (5)

Disconnect coolant hoses (1) with clamps (3)

NOTE:  Collect escaping coolant in a clean vessel and return to the coolant expansion tank following installation of the solenoid valve (2).

Disconnect coolant hoses (1) from solenoid valve (2)

Undo nuts (4) and remove clamp on solenoid valve (2)

Nut, solenoid valve to bracket:  4 N.m

Remove solenoid valve (2) from bracket

Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence

Testing

Inspect cooling system for leaks.
