Auxiliary Cabin Heater Fuel Pump: Service and Repair

AR83.70-P-5652T Remove/Install Fuel Metering Pump

- with CODE (228) Stationary heater

Disconnect battery ground line

Unplug electrical connector (2)

Disconnect fuel hoses (1) with clamps (3)

See "Special Tools" given below.

Disconnect fuel hoses (1) at the STH fuel metering pump (Y23)

NOTE:  Collect escaping fuel with a cloth.

Remove STH fuel metering pump (Y23) from the rubber mounts (4)

NOTE:  Installation:  observe direction of installation.

Install in the reverse order.

NOTE:  Ensure that the fuel hoses (1) are securely seated and not leaking.

Risk of explosion from fuel vapors, risk of poisoning from inhaling combustion gases and risk of injury from burns during and after
operation of heater unit

Do not operate stationary heater, auxiliary heater or engine with heater booster in closed areas or when refueling. Allow heater unit
to cool down after operation and wear protective gloves.

Start up stationary heater
-

If the STH heater switches off automatically before reaching its operating temperature and cannot be restarted again, a fault interlock is
present, To clear a fault interlock, refer to Star Diagnosis.
