E 320 CDI (211.026) L6-3.2L DSL Turbo (648.961) (2005)
Component Identification
Mixed air operation front and rear; recirculated air mode
Function
In "front and rear blend air mode; recirculated air mode" recirculated air (A) is drawn in (A32) due to the position of the fresh air flaps and recirculated
air flaps actuator motor (M2/5). The recirculated air (A) reaches through the cooled evaporator (2) is dried and cooled there. Then part of the dried and
cooled air (B) is heated up again in the heated heat exchanger (3) and heater booster (R22/3) due to the position of the left blend air flap actuator motor
(M2/6) and right blend air flap actuator motor (M2/7). The other part of the dried and cooled air (B) is led past the heat exchanger (3) and heater booster
(R22/3) and mixed downstream of the heat exchanger (3) and heater booster (R22/3) with the heated air (C) to form blend air (D
The blend air (D) is led to the air outlets (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) via the position of the actuator motors for the blend air flap on the left (M2/6) and right (M2/7),
actuator motors for left and right footwell flaps (M2/15) and center outlet flap actuator motor (M2/22). The defrosting flaps can be opened by the left
and right defrosting actuator (M2/16) if the outside air is dry.
The condensation water is led to the outside condensation water drain.

GF83.40-P-2105-03T Automatic Air Conditioning Box, Purpose
- with CODE (581b) Convenience automatic air conditioning
Task
The automatic air conditioning box distributes the air that is required to ventilate the vehicle to the relevant air ducts and vents depending on the interior
temperature that is required.
The air ducting depends on various operating conditions such as:
