In those countries with a statutory daytime running light regulation, only the headlamp flasher is permitted in daytime running lights mode, and not the
high beam. High beam is only permissible when the daytime running lights can be manually set using the rotary light switch (S1).

For vehicles with code (550) Trailer hitch, the signal "daytime running lamps On" is transmitted by the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay
module (N10/1) to the trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit (N28/1), which applies the signal "daytime running lamps On" to the trailer hitch
socket (13-pin) (X58).
