Auxiliary Cabin Heater Control Module: Service and Repair

AR83.70-P-0003T Remove/Install Telestart Receiver

- with CODE (228) Stationary heater

Testing

Check Telestart transmitter

NOTE:  Is function guaranteed?

Remove/install

Disconnect battery ground line

Remove side paneling in trunk

NOTE:  Paneling on right side only.

Unscrew nuts (1)

Remove receiver for stationary heater's radio remote control (A6/1) with bracket (4) from right wheelhouse

Slide bracket (4) in direction of arrow from STH radio remote control receiver (A6/1)

NOTE:  To do so lift locking hooks (5) of bracket (4) using a slotted screwdriver.

Detach antenna line (2) and electrical connector (3) from STH radio remote control receiver (A6/1)

Install in the reverse order.

Teach-in Telestart transmitter.

Inspecting

Switch on STH heater unit with STF radio remote control transmitter.

NOTE:  When the vehicle's internal heater unit's recirculating pump and combustion air blower start up and fuel metering pump delivers, switch
off stationary heater unit.
