Component Identification

Location

The WSS sensors are located at the seat frame of the front passenger seat.

Task

The WSS sensors weigh the weight of a person or register whether a child seat is mounted.

The measured or registered values are transmitted to the WSS (Weight Sensing System) control unit (N2/13) and used to trigger the supplemental
restraint system (SRS) and evaluated.
