Inspect rubber mounts (4a, 4b) of tie rod (4).

NOTE:  If rubber mounts are damaged, install a new tie rod.

Install in the reverse order

Perform chassis alignment check.

Remove/Install Tie Rod

Press tie rod joint (10a) out of steering knuckle assembly.

CAUTION:  Installation:  Replace self-locking nut.

Loosen lock nut (10f) and unscrew tie rod (10)

NOTE:  Counterhold the tie rod (10) to slacken the lock nut (10f) (arrows).

Install in the reverse order

Check front wheel toe and adjust if necessary.
