Restricted maximum speed for winter tires with identification "V" (speed index)

For V tires the maximum tire load capacity according to ETRTO (European Tire and Rim Technical Organization) standard is only given up to 210
km/h.

As speed increases beyond 210 km/h the permissible tire load capacity is reduced by the so-called load allowance (1.5 % per 5 km/h) up to 91 % at
240 km/h.

This may mean that the vehicle cannot be operated without restriction up to 240 km/h. The maximum speed results depending on the load index of the
tire and permissible axle load of the vehicle (as per number 16 of the vehicle registration document).

This can be determined on a vehicle-specific basis with the aid of the corresponding load allowance table for the V winter tires. A corresponding M &
S maximum speed label is to be attached in the driver's field of vision.

Valid for vehicles with vehicle documents up to 30.9.06

The recommended wheel/tire combinations apply only when the dimensions are entered in the vehicle documentation at the factory or when a
corresponding part certification is present. For tire/wheel combinations not entered in the vehicle documentation/title of ownership, a corresponding
part certificate or approval certificate is to be given to the customer.

All the wheel/tire combinations listed here may only be fitted without further reason when they are listed in the registration papers under items 20 to
23 and 33 or the Technical Inspection Association experts' reports are ready.

Valid for vehicles with vehicle documents as of 1.10.06

The recommended wheel/tire combinations apply only when the dimensions are entered in the vehicle documentation at the factory or when a
corresponding part certification is present. For tire/wheel combinations not entered in the registration certificate and certificate of conformity, a
corresponding part certificate or approval certificate is to be given to the customer.

All tire/wheel combinations listed here may only be fitted without the need for further action if they are listed in part 1, section 15 of the registration
certificate or in section 32 and 50 of the certificate of conformity or if the required Technical Inspection Association reports can be presented.

Valid for all vehicles

The respective size designation of the rim is only binding for the specified vehicle model series. Deviations in the contour of the wheel or the brake
system can lead to hitting on adjacent components on other models in spite of the same nominal dimensions and therefore affecting the operating
safety.

In the Federal Republic of Germany, a modification approval is required from an officially recognized expert or tester from a technical testing point
for motor vehicles or by a testing engineer by an officially recognized supervisory organization is required for wheel/tire combinations which require
