b)

Remove contacts from Micro Quadlock System coupling. Refer to WIS document AR00.19-P-0120-04A.

c)

Remove fabric tape from seat side of electrical wires from plug (Figure 2, 3) up to jacketing.

d)

Unpin both contact pins for electrical wires (Figure 2, arrow) from plug (Figure 2, 3) (see table).

e)

Cut electrical wires approximately 10 mm behind contact pin. 

f)

Strip approximately 15 mm of insulation from electrical wires.

g)

Slide solder connector onto electrical wires.

h)

Twist bared electrical wires with wire ends from repair kit.

i)

Position solder connection in center of twisted wires and shrink with heat gun (solder).

Utilize wiring harness repair set 220 589 02 99 00 and heat gun 458-HL1802E via the MBUSA Standard Service Equipment Program

j)

Check solder connections.

k)

Wrap fabric tape around electrical wires.

l)

Fasten plug from repair kit (Figure 2, 5) to electrical wires with tie strap.

m)

Perform same work on coupling (Figure 2, 4) in vehicle interior. For this purpose, unpin contact sockets from chambers 9 and 11 and replace
coupling from repair kit. 

Note:

Ensure proper engagement when assembling electrical connector for driver seat connector block (X55/3) or front passenger seat connector
block (X55/4).
