Install new control unit, first connecting the smaller connector (X2; B in Figure 4), then the larger one (X1; A in Figure 4); reinstall retainer tab
(C).

CAUTION!

Ensure to connect electrical connectors in the order outlined above to avoid possible damage to the control unit.

Follow on-screen instructions for Steps 3-6, then continue to follow on-screen instructions to normalize trunk lid.

5.

Test proper function of remote trunk closing by opening and closing trunk lid with various actuation possibilities.

6.

Read out and erase fault codes and event memory; disconnect Star Diagnosis.

7.

Reinstall trunk panels.
