The left rear blending air flap actuator motor (M16/30) and right rear blending air flap actuator motor (M16/31) are used to set the ventilation
temperature of the heater and air conditioning in the rear for each side separately.
The left rear blend air flap actuator motor (M16/30) and right rear blend air flap actuator motor (M16/31) are actuated by the Comfort AAC control and
operating module (N22/7) or control panel rear switch group (S81) and the AC bus depending on the temperature button selection and the actual interior
temperature according to defined characteristics, and move the blend air flaps.
The flaps open and close the air passage through the heater heat exchanger in order to mix heated and fresh or cooled air in the correct proportion which
is required to achieve the desired interior temperature in the rear.

The specified flap angles of the blend air flaps in the rear are determined by the comfort AAC control and operating module (N22/7) depending on the
following information:

specified value temperature adjusted on the comfort AAC control and operating module (N22/7) and control panel rear switch group (S81)

^

measured interior temperature at the in-car temperature sensors (B10/4, N70b1)

^

Coolant temperature

blending air flaps closed

no air through the mixing chamber and thus no heating of the air.

blending air flap open

all air flows through the mixing chamber with maximum heating of air.

of the comfort automatic air conditioning housing are actuated directly by the comfort automatic air conditioning housing through the AC bus. An output
stage is integrated into the ACC control and operating module (N22/7), with which the battery voltage for the actuator motors can be switched on and
off.

After switching on, the actual position of every flap stored before switching off is signaled to every actuator motor. During regulation, the comfort ACC
control and operating module (N22/7) cyclically transmits a specified value to each actuator motor via a separate address. This then decides accordingly
on the direction of rotation and moves automatically to the desired position. The comfort AAC control and operating module (N22/7) signals its current
position in response to every cyclic request for the specified value. The comfort AAC control and operating module (N22/7) compares the received
actual values with the specified values and thus recognizes whether an actuator motor is in its specified position or is still running (relevant when
switching off the ignition for storing the actuation). The motor remains stationary when detecting undervoltage or overvoltage, to protect the actuator
motor and to prevent step loss. If the voltage has normalized again, the requested specified position is approached again automatically.
