Disconnect ground cable of battery

2.1 Remove rear engine compartment paneling
2.2 Remove bottom part of rear noise encapsulation

Remove dust shield (1)

Clip on protective cap (2) (arrow)

Unscrew nut (3) and detach electrical line (4)

CAUTION:  Replace self-locking nuts (3).

Nut, Cable connection to front prefuse box M8:  14 N.m.

DANGER:    
-

Risk of death. Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform.

-

Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified
by the vehicle manufacturer.

Lower vehicle with lifting platform

Fold back floor covering (5) in front passenger footwell

Remove sound-deadening material (6) upwards off the footrest (8)

Unscrew nuts (7)

Remove footrest (8) and put down in front passenger footwell

Remove support (14)

Mark installation position of individual supply lines (red) (9)

Detach supply lines (red) (9) at the front prefuse box (F32) and put the supply lines (red) (9) to one side

NOTE:
-

Nuts remain attached to supply lines (red) (9).

-

Installation:  Observe installation markings.

-

Nut, cable connection to front prefuse box:  7 N.m

Detach positive lead (black) (10) and put to one side
-

Nut, cable connection to front prefuse box:  14 N.m

15

Unclip fuse holder (11) at the front prefuse box (F32)

NOTE:
-

Number of fuse holders (11) varies depending on equipment configuration.
