Equipped with Airmatic Suspension "Airmatic - Visit Workshop" Displayed in Instrument Cluster and Fault Code 5151 - [B22/3 (Rear Axle Level
Sensor): Signal Implausible]

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of Airmatic - Visit Workshop" displayed in the instrument cluster and fault code 5151
[B2213: (Rear Axle Level Sensor): Signal Implausible] is stored, perform the following.

Note:

The rear level sensor generates two signals which together add up to 5 volts. A variation from the sum may result in the above fault code, since
the signal is detected as being implausible. This variation in voltage may be due to the increase in transition resistance.

1.

Perform measurements on the rear level sensor as per the guided tests in STAR Diagnosis.

2.

If each test's measurement values are correct, replace the connecting cable from the rear axle level sensor (through the body). Reference WIS
document GF32.31-P-4400B for rear level sensor location.

3.

If a test's measurement value is incorrect, follow the instructions outlined within STAR Diagnosis.

Note:

Replacing the rear axle level sensor or the Airmatic control unit does not resolve this problem. The use of modified level sensors which require
no redundant signals have been implemented in series production as of December 2004.
