Accumulator: Service and Repair

AR32.22-P-2017T Remove/Install AIRmatic Central Reservoir

- with CODE (489) AIRmatic (semi-active air suspension)

NOTE:  See notes on AIRmatic

Empty AIRmatic system using STAR DIAGNOSIS

NOTE:  Do not discharge the air suspension elements.

Remove right side trunk lining

NOTE:
-

Vehicle with through-loading facility

-

Vehicle without through-loading facility.

Carefully disconnect pressure line connection (42a) from central reservoir (42)

NOTE:
-

Residual pressure 2...3 bar.

-

Seal off the pressure line with a blind plug for the duration of the repair work. If pressure line connections or pressure lines are damaged,
repair AIRmatic pressure line connection.

Unscrew bolts (arrows) and remove central reservoir (42)

Install in the reverse order

Fill AIRmatic system using STAR DIAGNOSIS

Check AIRmatic for leaks
