Component Identification

Location

The Audio/COMAND display is fitted centrally in the top of the instrument panel.

Task

The Audio/COMAND display represents the uniform user-relevant navigation/operating and information window.

Telematics CAN

The exchange of control data with the individual components as well as diagnosis takes place via the telematics CAN (CAN A).

This standardized digital interface serves to receive the picture information and video information from the radio (A2) (with code (510) Audio 20 incl.
CD changer, with code (523) MB Audio 20 radio), radio with Auto Pilot System (A2/56) (with code (511) Audio 50 APS incl. DVD changer, with code
