Repair Materials
1. Drill dia. 9 mm hole (arrow) into right rear mud guard (2.1).
Cordless drill/driver
On vehicles with single-pipe exhaust system.
The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle on model 212.0. Install on the right side of vehicle as well as on model 212.2 in the
same manner.
2. Clean rear bumper in cross-hatched area with specified cleaning agent.
Rear bumper must be dry, free of dust and grease in cross-hatched area.
3. Unscrew sheet metal screws (3, 4) from fender liner and rear bumper.
On vehicles with single-pipe exhaust system an expansion rivet is installed in addition on the right side of the vehicle in the area below the sheet
metal screw (4); it must also be removed.
