INTEGRATED GARAGE DOOR OPENER

The purpose of this S.I. is to clarify the programming and operation of the garage door opener transmitter, which is integrated into the left front sunvisor.
While the integrated garage door transmitter will function with many automatic garage door openers, certain limitations must be imposed upon the
integrated transmitter in the interest of convenience and safety. We have listed some of these limitations below:

The integrated transmitter is specific to the left front sunvisor of 210 models, and can not be fitted to other vehicle series.

Commercially available garage door openers produced prior to 1983 did not, in general, incorporate pressure and/or light beam automatic reversing
equipment, and are incompatible with the integrated opener. These units must not he modified in any way.

The operating range of the opener is limited to approximately 50 feet.

Certain garage door openers may utilize a "rolling code", which changes the identification data between the transmitter and receiver on a continuous
basis, and these are incompatible with the integrated opener.

^ The frequency ranges in which the opener operates are:

286 to 321 megahertz (Mhz)

336 to 399 megahertz (Mhz)

The frequency of the garage door opener can generally be found on its transmitter, or in the user documentation supplied with the opener.
