Activation

When activated, the trunk lid release switch (S15) or the RCL control module (N54) transmit a signal to the combination control module (N10-1). This
transmits the signal "open trunk lid" to the PSE control module via the CAN data bus. After that, the PSE control module supplies pressure and
simultaneously activates the trunk lid release control valve (Y65/3). The remote trunk lid release pneumatic element actuates the latch by means of
pressure and the trunk lid opens.

Note: Pneumatic or electrical faults of the RTR system are recognized by the PSE control module and are stored in the DTC memory. The DTC memory
can be read and erased only with the HHT.
