Solar Sensor: Description and Operation

The sun sensor measures the intensity of the sun radiation.

The sun sensor transfers the value measured for the sun intensity to the A/C push-button control module. The A/C push-button control module uses this
information as a basis for controlling the blower speed and thereby increasing the cooling capacity depending on the intensity of the sun.
The sun sensor increases the blower speed slightly above 5 °C and decreases it slightly below 5 °C and has an effect on the passenger compartment
temperature control beginning at an outdoor temperature of approx. 19 °C depending on the intensity of the sun.
