MODELS 210.020/055/072 
REPLACEMENT OF LEFT/RIGHT SIDE AIRBAGS

This campaign has been initiated as a precautionary measure to replace left/right side airbags (2, Figure 1) in Models 210.020/055/072 which were
produced from November 1996 to February 1997. Additionally, the wiring harness as well as the routing for each of the left/right side airbags within the
front door frame must be inspected for chaffing/damage.

Effective Serial Number Range

Please review the Effective Serial Number Range table listed, to determine if the vehicle was produced between November 1996 and February 1997.

Procedure

1.

Prior to performing this Service Campaign, please check VMI to insure the vehicle is involved and to determine if the vehicle has been previously
repaired.

DANGER!

Injury Hazard when testing or repairing airbags or emergency tensioning retractors.

2.

Prior to performing this Recall Campaign, carefully review and adhere to the safety instructions as indicated in the following documents: See WIS:
AS91.00-Z-0001-01A, AH91.00-P-0002-01B and AH91.00-P-0004-01A. Additionally, review this Recall Bulletin entirely prior to performing the
recall itself.

3.

Remove ignition key from ignition lock.

4.

Remove both front door interior panels, see WIS document: AR72.10-P-1000F
