Repair Materials

Component Identification

The brake caliper (1) must not be detached from the brake hose for replacing the guide sleeve (2).

The repair kit consists of guide sleeves (2) with protective caps, seal boots (3), repair grease and to be fitted to each brake caliper (1).

Removing

Clean brake caliper (1) with LU cleaner.

Press guide sleeve (2) and seal boot (3) outwards.

Lever seal boot (3) out of radial groove (4) and push back, so that this remains on the guide sleeve (2).

Using a suitable tool, press the guide sleeve (2) out of the housing bore (5) of the brake caliper (1) from the inside outwards.
