The driver and service center agree upon a period of time during which the trunk lid external operation switch (S88/8) must be actuated for at least t = 15
s.
The emergency call system then notifies by mobile radio the relevant service station about activation of the trunk lid external operation switch.
Simultaneously, a message appears in the instrument cluster indicating that the service is being performed. In addition, the red light-emitting diode in the
emergency call system button flashes.
The service center checks whether the corresponding request from the driver is pending. If plausibility is checked and found to be successful, a request is
sent over mobile radio from the service center to unlock the vehicle.

If "Vehicle remote door unlock" is refused by the service center because, for example, the trunk lid external operation switch was not actuated at the time
agreed on or legitimization was incorrect, the vehicle remote door unlock function is disabled for t = 15 min.

Vehicle remote locking

The driver notifies the service center, legitimizes himself/herself and requests remote door locking of the vehicle by mobile radio. The service center
then sends by mobile phone the request for vehicle remote door locking.
The vehicle receives the request and then implements it, where technically feasible. Finally, the vehicle sends feedback to the service center as to
whether the request was implemented or not. The service center then informs the driver of the result.
