Cassette mode, function

The compact-cassette (CC) playback unit is integrated in the radio operating module (A2).
After pressing the "Audio" menu button in the left display field, a list of the function groups appears on the display. Cassette operation is activated by
pressing on the button displayed tape TAPE.

Inserting/ejecting cassettes

If a cassette is inserted with the tape opening on the right and pressed gently, it is automatically drawn into the unit.
The unit switches to cassette mode. The type of tape is detected automatically.

The cassette is ejected again by pressing on the "Eject" button. The unit switches back to the mode activated previously. The cassette drive is operated
via the function keypad.

The audio-20-CC cassette system has:

Autoreverse drive (side switchover)

Tape fast forwarding and rewinding (using cross-shaped rocker switch)

Automatic tape type recognition

Dolby B
Noise suppression for cassettes which have been recorded with Dolby B

SKIP BLANK
If the drive has not recognized a sound signal on the cassette for more than 15 seconds, there follows a fast forward to the next track. If a next
track is not recognized, it winds on to the end of the tape. When function is active, "SKIPPING ON" appears on the display.

SEEK
Playing the track for 8 seconds and winding forward automatically to the next track. If no next track is detected, its winds to the end of the tape.
"SEEK FORWARD" appears in the display.

The Audio Gateway control module (N93/1) implements the output amplification of the signals before they are relayed over the vehicle speakers.
