H7 Headlamp Bulb Premature Failure in Halogen Headlamp(s)

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of premature failure of the halogen headlamp(s), follow the below procedure which will
reduce the voltage at headlamp bulbs to 12.8 Volts with SDS as of 04/03 edition. Operating voltage of 13.2 Volts can lead to premature failure of the H7
bulb(s) in one or both headlamps, particularly on vehicles with daytime running lamps or headlamp setting on constant.

1.

Replace burned out H7 bulb(s) (Figure 1).

2.

Connect SDS.

3.

Select "Control units".

4.

Select "Body".

5.

Select "Dr-side SAM-Driver signal acquisition and actuation module".

6.

Select "Control unit adaptations".

7.

Select "Reset coding".

8.

Press F2 to start process.
