After TELE AID has been switched on, the telecommunications control unit (N112) awaits an operation readiness message. If this has not been received
even after 30 s, the status display in the SOS switch (S93/3s1) lights up and the fault is entered in the fault memory.

Operation readiness messages arriving later are nevertheless accepted, the status display then goes out again. Once the operation readiness message has
been received, the telecommunications control unit (N112) expects additional operation readiness confirmations. If this message is not received for
longer than 3 s, the status indicator in the SOS switch (S93/3s1) comes on and the error is stored in the DTC memory of the telecommunications control
unit (N112). Later incoming messages are still received A TELE AID emergency call is triggered automatically by the telecommunications control unit
(N112) if a crash message is received twice in one second. With a single crash message, the state display in the SOS switch (S93/3s1) lights up. An entry

The emergency call system control unit (N123/4) receives the messages listed below via a direct digital crash signal from the restraint systems control
unit (N2/7) and additionally (redundantly) via Control Area Network bus class D (diagnosis) (CAN-D) from the central gateway control unit (N93). The
central gateway control unit receives the message from the restraint systems control unit via the Controller Area Network bus class B (interior) (CAN-B):
