Remove/Install Oil Sensor

DANGER:

-

Risk of death, Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform.

-

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points
specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove engine compartment paneling

NOTE:  Only rear part.

Drain and collect engine oil

NOTE:  Oil drain plug to oil pan

Disconnect electrical plug socket at oil sensor (oil level, temperature and quality) (B40)

Unscrew bolts (40/1)

Remove oil sensor (oil level, temperature and quality) (B40)

NOTE:  Installation:  Replace O-ring.

Install in the reverse order.

Check engine oil level approx. 5 minutes after switching off the warm engine, if required adjust to correct level

CAUTION:  The vehicle must be positioned horizontally on its wheels, otherwise this could lead to a distortion of the measurement result.

NOTE:  Model 230:  Inquire about engine oil level via the multifunction display, refer to Operating instructions.
