Heater Control Valve: Service and Repair

AR83.25-P-1140T Remove/Install Heat Exchanger Shutoff Motor

DANGER:

-

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 degrees C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour
coolant into beverage bottles.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

Allow pressure in coolant circuit to escape

NOTE:  To do this, carefully open reservoir cover and close again.

Remove wiper system

Unclamp heating water hose (1)

See "Special Tools" given below.

Remove hose clamp and disconnect heating water hose from heat exchanger shutoff motor (M16/32)

Push rubber boot (3) from engine partition and release securing clips (2)

Detach connecting pipe from heat exchanger shutoff motor (M16/32)

Remove heat exchanger shutoff motor (M16/32)

Disconnect electrical connector from heat exchanger shutoff motor (M16/32)

Remove rubber boot (3)

Install in the reverse order.

Check and correct engine coolant level.
