Special destinations (Points of Interest (POI))

The display is shown as arrow navigation in the instrument cluster (A1) and as a 2-D map display in the Audio/COMAND display (A40/8).

The processing speed is considerably improved by the use of read-only memory.

The following options can be selected in the "Mode" submenu (in the "Navi" main menu):

The following options can also be selected/deselected:

"Avoid freeways"

The currently loaded country group (with version) can be displayed and changed in the "Load country groups" submenu (in the "Navi" main menu).

The "Special Destinations" menu is supplemented by the "Bypassing current location", "Bypassing other Locations" and "National Destinations"
submenus. After entering or calling a destination location, route calculation starts. The following POI categories have been defined:

The system can be activated or deactivated or the destination and street can be entered using the following components:

The data for reaching the destination (destination-oriented navigation) is calculated via the navigation system integrated into the radio with auto pilot
