Noises from Seat Trim
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of noises from the seat trim when the seat is moved all the way back, which results in
insufficient clearance between the seat frame and the B-pillar, this causes the seat trim to touch the B-pillar. Follow the steps below to correct.
1.
Drill a new hole (3.0 mm diameter) at a distance of 7 mm toward the front from the original hole in the seat frame shown in Figure 1, pos. 1.
2.
Remove the fastening lug on the seat trim and drill a hole (3.5 mm diameter) shown in Figure 1, pos. 2.
3.
Connect the seat trim to the new hole using a 3.5 x 13 sheet metal screw (N000000 000447).
