Model G500 Exhaust System Noise
If you encounter instances in the above model of noise from the exhaust system, the three oblong holes in the guard plate may have widened due to
vibration in the collar nuts and/or spacer sleeve. To resolve, please install modified mounting parts on the guard plate.
Note:
Observe the following sequence when installing each threaded bolt.

Spacer sleeve (part no.460 990 08 40)
2.
Washer (part no. 460 492 03 76)
3.
Guard plate (part no. 463 492 68 30)
4.
Washer (part no. 460 492 03 76)
5.
Washer (part no. 009 021 00 62 08)
6.
Nut (part no. 304 032 00 60 04)

It is necessary to install two washers, part no. 460 492 03 76) so that the guard plate is arrested between the washers.
It is not necessary to replace the spacer sleeves.
