Drivetrain Vibrations
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of vibrations coming from the drivetrain area at speeds of approximately 60 MPH, there may
be several possible causes. Follow the steps below until the condition has been eliminated.
1.
Check for run out in the front and rear axle flanges. Refer to WIS Document AR33.30-P-0086A and AR35.30-P-4671F to check for concentricity
of the flanges.
2.
Check for run out in the transfer case flange. Refer to WIS Document AR28.50-P-1100B to check for concentricity of the flanges.
3.
Install soft white transfer case bearings (part number A463 280 01 86) at all three mounting points. Refer to WIS Document AR28.10-P-0300B for
removing and installing transfer case mounts.
