17. Disconnect black connector (31) of vehicle wiring harness on the rear SAM control unit (N10/8).
18. Remove black connector insert from black connector (31).
19. Pin brown/white line (br/ws) of trailer hitch wiring harness into contact cavity 23 of the black connector insert for the black connector (31).
20. Install black connector insert into black connector (31).
21. Insert black connector (31) of vehicle wiring harness into rear SAM control unit (N10/8) and lock into place.

22. Connect ground line of trailer hitch wiring harness (24) onto right spare tire well ground (W7/7).

A maximum of 5 connectors may be connected to a ground point. In the event of over-assignment another ground point should be selected.
