Component Identification

Location

The CD changer is installed in the glove compartment.

Task

The purpose of the CD changer is to play audio CDs and change the CDs contained in the magazine. It has a Media Oriented System Transport (MOST)
interface and a wakeup line input.

The CD changer for 6 CDs can transfer digital audio signals in stereo. Only music CDs with the proper file format can be used (Red Book Audio CD
Standard).

The CD changer has an automatic pull-in feature for six CDs. The CDs are loaded centrally through an insertion slot. Each CD can be loaded or removed
individually with the six selection buttons on the CD changer.

The CD changer is a subscriber on the MOST bus and can be controlled with the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3).
