Starting on the driver's side of the vehicle, carefully work hood/cowl seal around the drain hose, then pull up and remove the hood/cowl seal from
the cowl flange. This will expose the (non-barbed) hood/cowl seal retaining clips (1, Figure 1).

3.

Unclip/pull up to remove the existing (non-barbed) hood/cowl seal retaining clips (6).

4.

Install the new (barbed) hood/cowl seal retaining clips (see Parts Information) into the same positions as the clips as removed from step 3 above.

5.

Starting from the passenger side, reinstall hood/cowl seal over the newly installed clips.

6.

Ensure proper seating of the hood/cowl seal on cowl flange/flange ends and drain hose.

7.

Close vehicle hood.
